executive ghostwriter and communications strategist

I am a UK-based executive ghostwriter and communications strategist with over 15 years of experience. I support pioneers and business leaders by transforming their complex ideas and hard-won insights into compelling books, speeches, and bylines. My approach encompasses the entire creative process from ideation and research to the polished final piece.

With experience in journalism, publishing, and strategic communications, I bring a versatile skill set and nuanced perspective to executive storytelling. Before establishing my agency, I honed my craft as speechwriter to Governor Babatunde Raji Fashola during his transformative tenure leading Lagos State, Nigeria.

As the founder of Asterism Communications, I direct communication projects that encompass executive communications, thought leadership, corporate narratives, and brand storytelling. My team offers comprehensive solutions covering strategy, writing, design, and publishing. We have told stories for organisations including the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL), UK Nigeria Tech Hub, NNPC Upstream Investment Management Services (NUIMS), Stanbic IBTC Asset Management, Sterling Bank, and Sympli Foods.

From 2023 to 2025, I was Global Communications Lead for CV, an international organisation headquartered in the UK and working in 33 countries. This role deepened my expertise in international communication strategies and cross-cultural narrative development.

I also coach public speakers and communications professionals. My speechwriting course has been translated into seven languages and completed by over 1,000 professionals on the global learning platform Domestika.

Portfolio

I work with founders and organisations to get to the heart of their story – what they stand for, who they serve, and how they want to show up in the world – and then I translate that into copy that is honest, distinctive and easy to act on.

See samples with Fedha, a fintech company whose website copy speaks clearly to local users while signalling credibility and scale to global investors, and Sympli, whose copy speaks to both everyday shoppers and wholesale buyers globally.

Impact storytelling

I love telling human-centred impact stories, and I help clients to focus on the people, places and systems behind the numbers in their work. These high-impact stories are often multi-format projects (books, documentaries, photo essays, exhibitions) that honour dignity while giving stakeholders a clear view of real impact. They are perfect for people and organisations that want to promote their legacy, project their impact, and celebrate milestones.

I write essays and articles on the things I am most curious about: language, literature and storytelling, and technology’s impact on everyday life.

A few selected pieces:

The Relationship Between AI and Nigerians: A Slow Burn or a Revolution for Imminent

On Achebe’s No Longer At Ease for The Republic

On the Use of Indigenous Nigerian Languages Online for Imminent

I started my career as a copyeditor, working with two newspaper houses and then a book publisher. Shaping other people’s work through developmental editing and copyediting still brings me a lot of joy, and it’s one of the ways I get to support other writers and businesses.
